Homebuyer Programs
Umpqua Coastal
Housing Center assists
eligible home buyers in Coos and Curry Counties in Southwest Oregon to obtain
decent, safe, structurally sound, and affordable homes. We offer the following
programs and services:
- Referrals to mortgage loan programs, such as:
- Rural Development loans, available to low-income home
buyers - below market interest rates.
- Oregon Bond Fund loans, available to first time home
buyers - below market interest rates.
- Homes for sale through our
Rehabbed Affordable Homes
For Homeownership (RAHH) program and new single-family homes

Mutual Self-Help Housing
- Help build your own home.
- No down payment - your labor becomes your down payment.
- No experience necessary - we provide step-by-step
instruction.
- Up to $23,000 in closing cost and loan reduction
assistance to eligible participants. We provide technical assistance and
construction training, supervision, and oversight.
- Qualifications:
low- and very-low income but must be able to support a mortgage.
